I walked into the Black Ambition Fundable Founders Forum not entirely sure what I was stepping into. I’ve been to my fair share of “entrepreneur events”—the ones filled with surface-level small talk, scattered agendas, and conversations that lead nowhere. This was not that.
From the start, the energy felt different—intentional, focused, and grounded in purpose. Instead of wandering through a room collecting business cards you’ll never revisit, you found yourself in exchanges that actually mattered. Conversations had weight. People were listening, not just waiting for their turn to talk. It felt less like networking and more like alignment.
The evening unfolded with voices rooted in both credibility and heart. Past Black Ambition cohorts stepped forward with real stories—wins, setbacks, pivots, and the honest lessons only those who’ve survived the trenches can offer. Then came Linda Clemons, the “Queen of Networking,” delivering a true masterclass in human behavior. She didn’t just talk—she demonstrated, decoding body language in real time and giving the room a visceral look at psychology in action. It was equal parts education and revelation.
The night culminated in a powerful closing conversation between Black Ambition CEO Felecia Hatcher and cultural force Steve Stoute. It was the kind of exchange that only happens when two leaders who truly live their mission sit down together. With clarity, humor, and sharp insight, Felecia guided the dialogue, opening space for Steve to speak candidly about culture, innovation, ownership, and the future of Black and Brown entrepreneurship. Their dialogue didn’t just inspire—it activated. It sent the room out buzzing with new possibility.
And threading it all together was Shannon Allen—effortless, charismatic, and fully in command of the room. Her presence struck that rare balance of warmth and authority, keeping everyone both at ease and deeply engaged. Guiding an event of this caliber requires real mastery, and she moved through the program with a fluidity and confidence that made the entire experience feel seamless.
What struck me most was the atmosphere. It pulsed with a kind of collective ambition—entrepreneurs exchanging strategy, founders sharing resources, creatives discussing vision. No ego. No pretense. Just people genuinely wanting to grow, build, and push each other forward.
From a production standpoint, the execution was tight. And speaking as someone who produces high-profile corporate events, I know smoothness on the surface usually means fire drills behind the scenes.
The Black Ambition team handled every curveball with the precision of a well-seasoned crew. That kind of invisible excellence? It’s rare—and it’s a sign of a team that not only knows their craft but cares deeply about the mission behind it.
Walking out, I didn’t just feel inspired—I felt plugged in. Recharged. Reminded that when an event is built with intention, the impact lasts far beyond the room.
The Fundable Founders Forum isn’t just another entrepreneurial gathering. It’s a catalyst. A connector. A space where ambition isn’t just celebrated—it’s sharpened.
And if you're an entrepreneur craving substance over noise, this is exactly where you need to be next time the doors open.
